2nd XI v Werneth (Burton Cup Prel Rnd) 6th May 2017

Preliminary Round of the Burton Cup with the winners progressing and the losers entering the draw for the Moore Cup. Moore Cup it is then for the twos. A score of 150 posted by Moorside just wasn't enough and Werneth passed it from 40 overs with 3 wickets standing. For the 'side outstanding performance from Pete Broadhurst with 61 from 69 deliveries and brother Paul with 20. Extras were second top scorer. Wickets were pretty much shared with Glen Mac 2/24 from 9, Jordan Whyatt 2/47 from 9, Lloydie 2/27 from 9 and John H 1/20 from 9.
