1st XI v Uppermill CC - 16/07/2017

No photos today. Uppermill won the toss and chose to bat and scored a creditable 207/7 from their 50 overs. Moorside were 41 in no time until Jack was out for 4. Meanwhile Ron Avenger had scored 30 and was looking for another big score. He saw Swampy go, followed by Harry Mouse who was run out with a direct hit from cover (or was he?). Immy and Pip followed Ron who played on again. Time for Sneaky to blast 27 from 25 and that was about it. Uppermill had 4 different players compared with the reverse fixture at the start of the season and a good acquisition in their OA Branden Berowski who finished with 3 for 45 (most of which Sneaky and Ron were responsible for). Leg-side wides were the third top scorer. Poor performance which needs to improve. Shaw at home on the 29th is the next outing with the Moorside Legends v Latics Legends next Sunday all being well.
