The Old Boys we here again sponsoring the match and enjoying the warm sunshine. Harry Mouse arrived sneezing and blowing his nose, due it seems, to being allergic to Robyn’s dogs which accompanied him to Blackpool yesterday along with Adoree, Dave and his car.
This didn’t bode well for Harry as he needs to see when he’s batting and he spent the whole match with his eyes full of water. At one point, he sneezed and his helmet fell off with a hit wicket potential likely at any stage. Swampy won the toss (again!) and elected to bat on a beautiful day for cricket. Ronnie Venger was again promoted to opener, this time with “Park Life” Gartside. At just 19 and nearly 18 are they the youngest in the League? Anyway, Ron went for it as usual and scored quickly. Jack was more circumspect but unfortunately got a pea-roller which hit him on the boot and was plum LB. Ron followed soon after, again getting into the 30’s and again getting caught. Rushes of blood
