Saddleworth have had the edge over recent seasons and this crunch match would determine the top three slots just prior to the end of the first half of the season. The track was flat and the outfield fast. Saddleworth won the toss and chose to bat. They got off to a bit of a flyer and then the brakes were applied particularly by Swampy and Immy. TBH S'worth lost their way finishing well below par on 194 for 7. Immy the pick of the bowlers with 4/32 from 15. Arnie and Danny opened with a bit of pressure on the former as the folks were over. Facing 10 he scored 3 caught behind (again!). However newly promoted Danny and new no 3 Immy lifted the score to 92 before Immy and then Danny soon followed. The next four wickets went for just 6 runs and it was starting to look like Stand away all over again. But cometh the hour cometh the Jordan/Sneaky combo with a partnership of 76 to almost see us home. Jordan went for 30 from 36 and Sneaky almost followed before SG Howard dropped the easiest catch you will see for a long time. With Sneaky 36 n/o from 28 we made it with 4 balls to spare.
