Not enough runs to defend and Pro run out again!
Conditions good compared with last weekend! Pitch and ground benefited from a week of dry weather and track looked a belter hence Danny electing to bat first.
Immy still needing to find his batting boots (playing on for 0), allowed Hodders to the crease to join Rick Baines early doors. They added 66 before Hodders was run out, having been sent back, turning for a second. His 44 from just 49 balls showed an in-form display cut short yet again. Rick Harrington at 4 put on a further 40+ runs with Rick B before Bainsey was bowled at 110 for 3. 148 all out simply wasn’t good enough to bowl against, despite Heyside losing 6 wickets, 3 to Glen Mac at third change. Tommy Mash had a belter – 1 for 66 off 11 and a quack, quack – oh dear!
Heyside Pro, Bilal, batted through for 73 pacing his innings well. Mr Campbell (OA) not at all pleased with his LBW dismissal.
Still 2nd XI won again at Heyside with both teams facing Hollinwood next Saturday.
