A pleasant evening at Friarmere (despite the midges), saw Moorside comfortably beat Friarmere and book a place in the semi-finals day in August (venue to be decided). Danny won the toss (for once) and elected to field. A steady start with Friarmere posting 38 runs before the first wicket despite opener, Mahmood, who retired "tired". OA, Cummings batted steadily before being bowled by Sneaky with the one ball aimed at the wickets. Sneaky was re-named "Rusty" for the evening having bowled a 12 ball over and going for 37, more than half of which were extras. Anyway Glen Mac bowled a tidy 4 for 16 with 1 wicket; Kyle 3 overs for 15 again with 1 wicket; Jimmy Baron 4 overs for 19 for 0 wicket; and Shaggy picked up 1 for 13 from two tidy overs of spin. Pick of the bowlers was MoM Danny with 4 for 23 from 4. He subsequently top-scored with 45 from 46 balls, Hodders having cracked 39 from 32 before being caught well at deep-mid wicket. Jimmy Baron found his batting boots (finally!) and clouted 20 from 19. All over with 3.4 overs to spare.
